Most often, it develops gradually, at first it starts to tickle in the throat, other symptoms appear, but the person is still not sure whether he gets sick or not.
Various external conditions — weather conditions, drafts, and internal conditions — malnutrition, chronic stress, and fatigue can cause various conditions. Even in hot countries, people suffer from colds, let alone places with a cold climate. Many people, having caught a cold, do not rush to the pharmacy for medicines, but prefer to be treated with proven folk remedies. At the first sign of a cold, most people choose onions, garlic, honey, hot milk. But not always the smell and properties of these products act favorably on our state and consciousness, exacerbating the already weakened forces. India is a country in which a colossal part of the Vedic culture has been preserved, where people were careful with their physical and spiritual health. A lot of useful and applicable knowledge has been saved, which still helps to overcome unpleasant symptoms and quickly restore strength.
The most common cold medicine in India is turmeric. The procedure is very simple: the powder is heated in a frying pan, and you inhale its fragrant vapors. You can repeat this action every couple of hours. If the throat is sore, rinse is made from turmeric: two pinches of spice and two pinches of salt (preferably sea) in a glass of water. The illness passes in a day or two.
If your immunity is generally weakened and you are prone to colds, try to use turmeric as often as possible in the cold season as a seasoning for dishes, since it has a warming and bactericidal effect. Without any restrictions – both with a cold that has already begun, and for preventive purposes – you can take tea from hibiscus flowers (often sold under the name “Hibiscus”), extremely rich in vitamin C. A tablespoon of flowers is added to half a liter of boiling water, 1 stick cinnamon (or a pinch of ground, but without sugar) and from a teaspoon to a tablespoon of grated ginger (smaller children, more adults). Soak on low heat for 10 minutes, then strain and drink hot, seizing honey. Some people like to add orange juice to this broth, which makes it even more healthy.
Indian medicine widely uses honey and ghee for colds, which best bring healing substances to the tissues of the body.
